About the Artist

Lisa Hoag, MFA: Visual Artist, Designer, Design Thinking Facilitator.
Lisa is an award winning artist and designer with over 30 years of experience. In Addition to her love for art, Lisa has a passion for creativity and innovative business models. She teaches workshops in human-centered Design Thinking, collaborative team innovation, and transdisciplinary design.

Design Thinking seeks to transform problems into opportunities by asking the simple question, “How Might We…”. The methods of Design Thinking are borrowed from the artists traditional problem solving toolkit, and are applied to solving challenges in community, in business innovation, and evolving needs for problem solving and innovation wherever they arise.

Lisa holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Fine Art from Goddard College; earned her BFA in Fine Art; Sculpture, from Parsons School of Design, in New York, and studied in a self-directed artist residency in Paris for two years. Since 1990, she has lived and worked in Western Mass, designing and creating artwork in her studio in Wendell, MA.
